I have recently observed new physical phenomena where hearing loss persons can hear generated sound without hearing aids. And some kind of unknown energy vibrations can change the strength of human beings. There are several other unknown physical phenomena observed. Although current science cannot explain such phenomena, it is possible to create useful products in future. Since I am inaugurated as the vice president of the past "The 21st Century Rehabilitation Study Group" of this academy, I have recommended the new way to diffuse the systemized rehabilitation where Mr. Shigeo Takizawa who has been promoting the proposed research during last several years.

The new study results have been demonstrated since we have obtained the grant of Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology scientific. Through our study we feel that the unsolved portion on the capability of the plasticity on the nervous tissue of people will be clarified in the rehabilitation medicine. Now, Dr. Kunihiko Fukui who is a pioneer of rehabilitation medicine of Japan has shown that it is ineffective of the proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, and his proposition has caused a stir in the Japanese medical establishment. And we will establish the new rehabilitation medicine based on the TAKIZAWA method through the 9th Japanese domestic conference which convened in Keio University last year as the first step.

The rehabilitation medicine had "acceptance of disability" in its aspect. It means that we should not treat patient but give up. In International conference 2006 we ask you for the reexamination from the beginning about the existing rehabilitation technique, and consider the TAKIZAWA method which is in predominance notably in contrast of the effect on the aged disabled person's rehabilitation to the existing technique on rehabilitation to the present directly.

It is my great pleasure to hold this conference "Clarify the new physical phenomenon and innovate the rehabilitation medicine." IMF appealed and had apprehensive social exhaustion by increasing aged people who need social protection in the aged society. It is sure that we must innovate the rehabilitation medicine in the future of the aged society. Please join us as many as concerned people for new discoveries.
